I get paid

It's fun. How did I get here?

I started out

By playing around with Sinclair BASIC somewhere around age 10 on the ZX81.

Next came my much-loved ZX Spectrum 48K, on which I wrote a crappy little text adventure game called Heron's Back Yard, complete with original music via the monophonic beepy sound chip.

I loved games, but the ZX Spectrum 128, the Amstrad Spectrum +2 got me more into gaming than programming, probably due to the larger, more immersive possibilties that greater memory and better technology provided.

An Atari 520ST gave me my first experience of music technology via the original Steinberg Cubase, and a Pentium Windows PC gave me my first taste of proper DAW technology via Cubase VST, then onto early versions of Logic on an Apple Macintosh LCII.

Once the great Tim Berners-Lee got involved, the World Wide Web happened, and things really took off. Thanks Tim!

I built my first website using TextEdit on an original Apple iMac G3, and have been exclusively Mac since then. Nowadays I use an Apple MacBook Pro and a desktop Apple iMac to build all my sites.

Working on different projects, from cute one-page portfolio sites, to unique artist sites, to larger eCommerce platforms. Every project poses different challenges in appearance, form & function.

I strive

For functionality, elegance and attention to detail. My clients seem very happy, but I do not always manage to achieve these goals to my own satisfaction!
